Study Day Programme 2008/2009

 

We are pleased to announce another exciting programme of SURA organised study days. As always the topics covered are varied, including: music, literature, art history, archaeology and local history - so there should be something for everyone.

TITLE: A Selection Of Nobel Literature Laureates

About the study day

The day will begin with an introduction to the Nobel Prize for Literature. During the day explore the work and times of a variety of Nobel Literary Laureates including prize winning dramatists G.B. Shaw, Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter, poets W.B. Yeats and Seamus Heaney and women writers Pearl Buck and Doris Lessing.

Dr Ruth Cowl is a popular tutor with U3A members, having provided us with several enjoyable study days in the past.
